Our passion is producing Archival Pigment Ink Prints for artists and photographers.
Pigment Ink Prints have become the worldwide print of choice for photographers and artists over the last 20 years, surpassing c-prints and other print technologies in terms of colour gamut, tonal range and lightfastness. These prints are noted for their excellent colour saturation, smooth gradations, great handling of pastels, deep velvety blacks and surprising levels of detail.
To achieve the highest standards in colour accuracy and longevity, we use Epson’s latest generation UltraChrome Pro inks. The Pro formulation features improved Matte and Photo Black inks that provide an enhanced Dmax as well as a new Yellow with improved light resistance.
According to the independent Wilhelm Imaging Research, "the greatly improved light stability of the new yellow provides a 2x to 3x improvement in Display Permanence Ratings"
Pigment ink prints can utilize a amazing range of media. Indeed this ability is one the chief advantages over other print technologies. From traditional photographic papers to textured cotton rag with the look and feel of watercolour paper, the range is vast. We use some of the best papers available in the world today. The resulting prints are museum quality.
Pigment Ink Prints are sometimes called 'Giclée Prints'. But we aren't crazy about that term. To find out why check out the FAQ section about that and also "what is archival pigment ink?" and in fact "what is archival?" and a range of other questions.
